Signed during a bilateral summit marking the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between South Korea and France.

L’Oréal Groupe and Cosmax signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to collaborate on next-generation beauty innovations, the beauty giant announced.

According to L’Oréal collaboration will focus primarily on three key areas global product development, ingredients and “novel sensory signatures and product formats inspired by South Korean beauty trends and consumer preferences.”

The accord was one of just three business MOUs signed during a bilateral summit marking the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between South Korea and France.

The MOU was signed on Sept. 8 in Paris by Nicolas Hieronimus, CEO of L’Oréal, and Choi Kyoung, vice chairman of Cosmax. At the signing were Nicolas Forissier, minister delegate for foreign trade and economic attractiveness, and Kim Jeong-kwan, South Korean minister of trade, industry and energy.
